🚀 Your role

As a Senior Data Engineer at Codigames, you will be responsible for ensuring the control and efficient management of large data volumes, ensuring they are always up to date and maintaining their integrity across all systems.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide key insights that drive strategic decision-making and product optimization.

You’ll have the challenge of identifying opportunities for new reports and analyses, as well as effectively modeling data for visualization and access through tools like Looker, contributing to a solid and accessible data ecosystem that supports the continued success of our games.

🛠️Technical skills

• Programming Languages:
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python for data analysis and building pipelines.
  • Experience with database-oriented languages such as SQL and NoSQL (DynamoDB, BigQuery, MySQL).

• Tools and Frameworks:
  • Familiarity with Apache Beam, Hadoop, Kafka, or similar tools for real-time and batch data processing.
  • Experience with ETL platforms like Airflow, Luigi, or game-specific integration tools.
  • Experience with cloud platforms: preferably AWS and Google Cloud.

• Databases:
  • Experience managing relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases.
  • Use of cloud data storage systems such as Google BigQuery, AWS S3, DynamoDB, GCS, etc.

• Visualization and Reporting:
  • Ability to create dashboards with tools like Looker, HTML, or Python libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn).
  • Experience in predictive analysis to identify user behavior trends.

• Models and Statistics:
  • Knowledge of applied statistics and machine learning.
  • Development and optimization of predictive models for personalization, monetization, and engagement.

🎯Other skills you’ll need to succeed

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in the gaming industry, preferably within well-known companies.
• Previous projects showing a tangible impact on mobile game product improvement, such as increased retention or revenue.
• Gaming Industry Knowledge:
  • Understanding User Behavior: Ability to analyze key metrics such as DAU, ARPU, LTV, etc.
  • Experience in analyzing and predicting consumption patterns in microtransactions and in-game advertising.
  • Ability to propose new reports useful for analysis.
  • A/B Testing: Experience with large-scale testing.

• Communication:
  • Ability to explain technical findings to non-technical teams, such as game designers or product executives.
  • Experience working in cross-functional and agile teams.
  • Fluent in English and/or Spanish.

• Problem-Solving: Critical thinking and problem-solving skills related to data infrastructure and metric analysis.
• Time Management: Experience managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptability: Ability to adjust to new tools, platforms, and changes in business priorities.
